Brightstart Montessori Nursery – Fees and Funding
All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 Government funded hours per week.
This entitlement begins on either the 1st January, 1st April or 1st September following
the child’s third birthday, whichever date comes first.
Suggested ways of using your child’s 15 funded hours each week:
- 2 whole days (2 mornings, 2 lunches, 2 afternoons). (13 hours pw)
- 4 mornings & 4 lunches. (14 hours pw)
- 5 mornings.
- 5 afternoons.
- A mixture of any 5 mornings and afternoons.
All sessions are subject to availability.
3 & 4 year old extended entitlement funding (30 hours pw)

Our charges are based on a rate of £7.10 per hour (increased each September.)
Morning (9:00am – 12:00 midday) £ 21.30
Lunch (12:00 midday – 12:30pm) £ 3.55
Afternoon (12:15pm – 3:15pm) £ 21.30
Whole day (8:45am – 3:15pm) £ 46.15

Brightstart Weekly Consumables Charge:
£10 pw for children receiving up to 15 funded hours per week.
£20 pw for children receiving more than 15 funded hours per week.
This will be invoiced near the start of each term.
If you pay your invoice with the Government’s Tax-free Childcare scheme www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare, you can save 20% of your fees!
The Consumables Charge will be waived for families receiving Universal Credit who have a household income of £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments.
Parents should provide a copy of a recent UC letter along with their National Insurance Number and Date of Birth, to avoid receiving an invoice. If you are unable to pay the Consumables Charge, please speak with the Nursery Manager to discuss the alternative options available.
